WITH heartfelt sadness, Hope4Malawi shares the news that Moses, one of the charity’s sponsored students, died after a short illness in July.
Moses was writing his final secondary school exams when he succumbed to sepsis. He was a bright student and a generous and caring young man. The team in Malawi at that time were able to support his family and speak at his funeral.
Sara Goodman, Hope4Malawi Trustee, says: “It was comforting to meet with his friends and fellow students during the holidays after exams finished. We discussed our thoughts and feelings and how best to remember Moses.
“We agreed the best legacy would be to live the way he did – ‘To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God’ (Micah 6:8).”
Hope4Malawi sponsors 30 students at National and District boarding schools, the best schools in the country. These students are selected from the charity’s five partner primary schools in rural Blantyre.
